Google Android 7.1.2 Nougat Update Now Available For Select Handsets

Google has rolled out Android 7.1.2 Nougat update to select devices. According to sources, the Nexus Player and Pixel C smartphone users have reportedly started to receive a stable build of Android 7.1.2 update.

With a total update size of 340.1MB, the latest Android 7.1.2 version provides bug fixes including performance and stability related improvements. Moreover, you will have to incur roaming charges if you download the updates over the cellular network or while roaming.

In addition to the above features, the Android 7.1.2 update also introduces new battery usage list including integration of fingerprint scanner gesture for the Nexus 6P and 5X handsets. If you are using Pixel C, your smartphone will be updated with Pixel Launcher. It is also possible to configure where you would like to set the live wallpapers.

If you work with either Nexus Player or Pixel C, you should verify the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon. If you are eligible to receive the update, you will receive a message notification.

After the installation of the update, the performance of your device will improve to a large extent. Going forward, we expect the arrival of Android 7.1.2 for the HTC Nexus and Motorola Nexus 6 smartphones.
