If you have access to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM smartphone, you should receive an update notification via OTA. You should install the update because it includes the much-needed security update, which is vital for the proper functioning of the handset.

Like in all other updates, it will take few days for the update to hit your handset depending upon the location. If you are unable to view the notification, you will have to wait for some time. Alternatively, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates.

Before proceeding to tap the update notification, you should free up to 2GB of storage space and completely charge the handset. A complete Android 7.0 Nougat update will be around 1.5GB in size, and hence you should provide room for proper installation. Moreover, you should establish connectivity to Wi-Fi and disable mobile data.

Your smartphone will reboot several times after the completion of the update. You should not remove the battery and perform any other activities. You will be able to experience the features such as split-window mode, enhanced menu settings, improved Doze mode, refreshed user interface including notification controls.
