Huawei has started to push a new software update with bug fixes for the premium Huawei P9 handset. Like all other updates, the latest Huawei P9 OTA updates are rolled out via over the air based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
With build number EVA-L09C432B383, the Huawei P9 OTA update is available for model number EVA-L09 alongside EMUI 5. According to reports, the update is a minor one with a couple of bug fixes. However, it is advisable to install the update since it will protect your smartphone.
The Huawei P9 OTA update provides fixes for a problem where users were unable to access the settings from a Mobile network. It also provides resolution for a bug associated with Google Device Policy.
If you had worked with Google Apps for Work, you would be able to visualize the bug and also view a notification stating that the device was unencrypted. Last but not the least, the Huawei P9 OTA update also provides fixes for a bug associated with the ‘OK Google from any screen’ message.
If you have access to Huawei P9, you will view a message notification. It will take few days for the update to hit your smartphone based on the location. If you are unable to view a notification, you will have to wait. Alternatively, you can also verify the presence of the update by manually navigating to Settings icon.
Before hitting the Download button, you should note two points. You should backup the required data from your Huawei P9 handset. Moreover, you should completely charge the phone to avoid interruption. Moreover, you should download the update via Wi-Fi connectivity and disable mobile data.
