Verizon has rolled out Android Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones. The update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is being rolled out with the build number NRD90M.N920VVRU3CQB9. However, the update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is pushed with software version NRD90M.G928VVRU3CQB9.
If you install the update in Samsung Galaxy Note 5, you will be able to work with Android Nougat in a sleek user interface. The new AIR command enables you to create GIF images including the ability to fetch instant translations using S Pen on the content. You can not only write text messages but also crop images and capture screenshots. You can even write on PDF document using S Pen for the purpose of annotations.
In addition to the above features, the Android Nougat update for the Galaxy Note 5 also provides improved battery management capabilities, enhanced multitasking including image related features. The update also provides updated keyboard and language predictions related features.
You can directly reply to the conversations from within notifications without opening the relevant app. It is also possible to limit data access for apps running in the background.
When it comes to Android Nougat support for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, it also offers the same features as the Galaxy Note 5.
It provides support for split screen, side-by-side viewing of multiple apps, data management, instant reply to notifications, enhanced battery management, comprehensive image management system including improved language prediction features. You can expect the same features in both smartphones.
Like in the case of all the updates, it will take few days for the Android Nougat to hit your smartphone. If your device is eligible, you will view a message notification. You can also manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings icon if you are unable to view a message notification.
The update is the full-blown Android Nougat. Hence, you will have to activate Wi-Fi since the size of the update will be more than 1GB. Moreover, you should free up at least 2GB of storage space and charge the device to more than 95 percent for trouble free installation.
