LG K8 On US Cellular Gets Better With March Security Update

US Cellular has released March security update for LG K8 handset. With software version number US37513a, the update is being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your handsets.

If you based in the US and work with LG K8 smartphone, you will receive a message notification. You need to proceed as per the instructions. You can also manually check for the update by tapping Settings icon if your device is yet to receive an update message.

As of writing this, the March security update is released based on Android Marshmallow. However, we don’t have any information about when LG provides Android Nougat for the LG K8. The chances are slim since there is no possibility for the budget-friendly LG K8 to receive Android Nougat.

Regarding specifications, the LG K8 is equipped with a 5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6735 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing snapper loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. When it comes to the storage, the LG K8 comes with both 8GB and 16GB expandable options.

A 2125mAh battery completes the package. As you can see, the specifications are a bit low for Android Nougat. Hence, you need not have to think about Android Nougat for now if you work with LG K8 smartphone.
