OnePlus 5

OnePlus 5 is expected to launch in July 2017. With just three months left for the official launch, there are already talks on the town in the rumor mills about the rumored release of OnePlus 5. If rumors are to be believed, OnePlus 5 will be tagged with a model number A5000.

krispitech‏ aka @krispitech took to Twitter and share an image reportedly obtained from the Chinese certification site. According to reports, the OnePlus 5 recently surfaced on a Chinese radio band certification site. The relevant papers show OnePlus A5000, which indicates that the model number of the handset will be A5000.

Based on the previous rumors, the OnePlus will likely skip the number 4 and replace with 5. Interestingly, the previously launched OnePlus 2 and OnePlus 3 was known by A2000 and A3000 respectively. Hence, we can assume that the upcoming handset will indeed bear A5000.

The Chinese radio band certification reveals the relevant data associated with the radio frequencies such as GSM, WCDMA, LTE FDD, WLAN and much more. In addition to the model number A5000, the data also showcases a date tagged as December 31, 2018. You can also see the associated data related to several frequency bands.

Talking about the specifications, OnePlus 5 will ship with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage. You can expect the same display technology but the panel will have a Quad HD resolution, which is a huge improvement over the currently available FHD display. If OnePlus decides to integrate QHD display, it will be a big boost for the Virtual Reality world.

When it comes to the camera, you can expect a slight bump in the rear camera sensor with a 21MP sensor. On the front, you can see the same 16MP. Going by the likes of iPhone 7 Plus, we also expect a premium variant of OnePlus 5 with a dual camera sensor.

Last but not the least, OnePlus 5 will feature a 40-00mAh battery, which is a great improvement over the previous counterpart and OnePlus 3T. That said, there is no official confirmation. Hence, you should accept the facts only with a pinch of salt.
