Like in the case of all the updates, Verizon has pushed the update via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your smartphone. If you are a customer of Verizon, you will view a message notification with the details and the download button. You can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings menu.

You should make sure to charge the Galaxy Note 4 up to 100 percent before downloading the update. If you are unable to charge to maximum capacity, you should charge at least 70 percent. Moreover, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and disable mobile data to avoid interruption during the update process.

The March security update pushed to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is based on Android Marshmallow since the handset ships with it. Based on the specifications, the chances of receiving Android Nougat update are slim since it features outdated internals.

Will this improve the battery life that I lost after the last marshmallow update? It would always show the Android system was using most of my battery.
