Nokia 6 Gets Better With Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update

HMD Global has rolled out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Nokia 6 smartphone. During the launch event at the MWC 2017, the Finland-based company has disclosed that they will be releasing security updates regularly.

With software build version 00CN_3_170, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update measures 369MB in size. Hence, the software update page has advised that you should allocate 616MB of free space for a successful installation. We would suggest you to free up 1GB of space for a smooth installation.

Based on the information available on the software update page, the update includes an update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat alongside power saving and background management enhancements.

The update also provides support for 4G and 3G dual sim dual standby capability and also provides updated Nokia USB driver. The update also includes an updated version of preload application including refreshed Google Security patch numbered 2017.4.

With the availability of Android 7.1.1 Nougat, you will be able to make use of shortcuts directly from the home screen including a wide range of emojis. The update also includes April security patch using which you can get eliminate security related problems. It also provides several bug fixes and system enhancements.

Like in the case of all the previous updates, Nokia has rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your devices depending upon the region. Before proceeding to install the update, you should activate Wi-Fi and disable mobile data. Moreover, you should charge the handset up to 100 percent to avoid troubles during installation.
