LG G5 SE Gets Better With Support For Bootloader Unlocking

LG has officially rolled out bootloader unlock support for the LG G5 SE smartphone. Dubbed with model number H840, the update has been pushed only for the European market.

According to official sources, if you have access to an LG G5 SE smartphone, you will be able to unlock the bootloader after the installation of the update. If you verify the official developer website of LG, you will be able to find the smartphone under the list of supported devices.

When it comes to the specifications, the LG G5 SE is equipped with a Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB RAM instead of 4GB on the LG G5 handset. The SE model has trimmed specifications than the LG G5.

In addition to the bootloader unlocking for LG G5 SE smartphone, the LG has unlocked the bootloader in LG V20 (US), LG V10 (Europe), LG G5 (US, Europe) and LG G5 (Europe).

If you unlock the bootloader, it will void the warranty of the handset. Hence, you should wait until the handset goes out of warranty. However, if you are a developer and have an excellent knowledge in Android, you can go ahead and unlock the bootloader.
