Samsung has started to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 in the United States. Previously, the update was pushed to few select regions other than the US. According to Galaxy Tab S2 users, they have started to receive the Nougat update on their Galaxy Tab S2.

While the 9.7-inch variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has got the build number T810XXU2DQCL, the update for the 8-inch model of the Galaxy Tab S2 has been introduced with build number T710XXU2DQCL.

In addition to Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest update to Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 also provides new UX and enhanced performance modes. The update also provides enhanced usability of the notifications features alongside Quick settings button. You will also experience improved usability of the Multi window.

Furthermore, the device offers efficient space for the installation of the downloaded app after the installation of the update in addition to the improved speed of system upgrade and app installation. After the installation of the update, you will experience enhanced efficiency and improved performance. Moreover, the tablet will be refreshed with April security patch update in addition to the Android Nougat update.

Like in the past, the update is being rolled out via OTA and measures 852.27MB in size. However, if you choose Install Overnight option, the update will be installed between 2 AM and 5 AM. You should make sure to free up 1.5GB of storage space before the installation. Moreover, you should charge the tablet up to 100 percent.

If you are eligible, you will receive an update message notification. However, it will take few days depending upon the region. However, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates.
