HTC has started to roll out Android Nougat update for the HTC One M9 smartphone. However, the update is available only for users based in Asia. According to users based on undisclosed destinations in Asia, they have started to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update for their handsets.
Tagged with software version 4.23.425.1, the latest Android Nougat update also provides improvements and system-related enhancements. After the installation of the update, you will experience improved performance. We have access to the update screen but the language is not English. We infer that the Android Nougat update is available for users outside China.
Like all other updates, the Android 7.0 Nougat for HTC One M9 smartphone has been pushed over the air. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your handsets. If your device is eligible, you will receive a message notification.
You will have select the Download button to proceed further. Alternatively, you can also verify the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon.
You should note that the overall weight of the update is around 1.52GB. Hence, you should download the update only via Wi-Fi. It is not possible to download the update via mobile connectivity unless you have unlimited bandwidth 4G service.
You should also make sure to charge the HTC One M9 up to 100 percent to avoid interruption during download. If required, you can also plug-in the phone to a reliable AC source until the completion of the update process.
