If rumors are to be believed, you can expect the launch of Nokia 3310 on May 17 in India. Nokia 3310 has been listed on the official website of OnlyMobiles, which is an authorized retailer based in India.
The retailer has posted a message that they will start accepting pre-orders from May 5. However, the deliveries will start from May 17. Hence, we expect the company to launch Nokia 3310 on May 17.
Expected to launch in India in May or June, the Nokia 3310 was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2017. With 12 months warranty, the Nokia 3310 has been listed at a price of Rs. 3899.
Moreover, the site has listed Warm Red, Dark Blue, Yellow, and Grey color variants of the smartphone. However, the retailer has tagged the handset as Coming Soon.
On the specifications front, the Nokia 3310 will feature a 2.4-inch QVGA (167PPI) display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 2MP rear sensor, expandable storage loaded with Nokia Series 30+ platform. The handset will be equipped with a 1200mAh battery, which can deliver up to 22.1 hours of talk time and up to 31 days of standby time. With a thickness of 12.8mm, the Nokia 3310 measures 79.6 grams in weight.
To recall, HMD Global has grabbed the license to design and manufacture Nokia handsets for 10 years. Meanwhile, retailers based in Germany and Austria have started to accept preorders for the feature phone with an expected release date of April 28.
As of April 26, we don’t have any information about the expected launch date of Nokia 3310. However, we expect the company to launch the handset by the end of May. HMD Global is also planning to assemble Nokia 3310, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android smartphones n India under Make in India initiative. The company has reportedly in touch with Foxconn.
