Vivo India has launched the much-awaited Vivo V5s smartphone in Crown Gold and Matte Black color variants at Rs. 18990. Touted as a selfie-focused smartphone, the Vivo V5s will be available for pre-order from April 27. However, the handset will ship only after May 6 after the first sale.

During the launch event, Vivo disclosed that the Matte Black color option of Vivo V5s will be available on May 6. If you would like to purchase the Crown Gold color variant, you will have to wait until May 20. The executives informed that the perfect blend of the camera and audio related features makes Vivo V5s a camera and music smartphone.

Vivo V5s Core Feature

The main attraction of Vivo V5s is the inclusion of a 20MP front-facing Sony IMX376 sensor coupled with f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash. If you would like to capture bright and brilliant selfies, you need to buy Vivo V5s. Moreover, the front camera is enhanced with a ‘Moonlight Glow’ front light including the Face Beauty 6.0 app.

According to the company sources, the inclusion of Moonlight Glow feature helps you to capture selfies and group selfies without any grains and distortion. You will be able to capture selfies without straining eyes in any extreme conditions.

On the specifications front, the Vivo V5s features a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5D Curved Glass display, MediaTek MT6750 processor, Mali T860 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable (up to 128GB) internal storage loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You will work with Funtouch OS 3.0, which has been released with several new features.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with a pixel density of 267PPI. Moreover, the Vivo V5s also includes a fingerprint sensor embedded in the physical home button. The 3000mAh battery integrated with the Vivo V5s provides the capability to deliver 2 days of backup time upon normal usage.

When it comes to the rear camera, the Vivo V5s includes a 13MP sensor with support for PDAF and dual-LED flash. Vivo has also taken special care to boost the audio by embedding an AK4376 Hi-Fi Audio chip. You can insert one MicroSIM and NanoSIM (hybrid) respectively on the phone.

In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Vivo V5s also provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, OTG, GPS, A-GPS including a traditional headphone port. Furthermore, the handset also comes with several sensors such as the accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor and much more.
