Verizon Refreshes Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus With April Security Update

Verizon has pushed April security update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus smartphones. Recently, the handsets were refreshed with Android Nougat. As of this writing, the April security update is being rolled to the phones.

With software version NRD90M.N920VVRS3CQD1, the latest software update brings in Android security updates.

When it comes to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the update is pushed with software build version NRD90M.G928VVRS3CQD1.

Moreover, the devices will be updated with bug fixes and system enhancements. If you install the update, the performance of your smartphone will be improved to a great extent.

Samsung has rolled out April security update via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your handset. If your device is eligible, you will view a message notification. You should select Download option to proceed further.

If you are unable to view the notification, you will have to wait for few more days. Alternatively, you can check for the update by manually tapping Settings button.

Moreover, you should ensure that your handset is charged to at least 90 percent for uninterrupted installation. You should Verizon has recommended for a full charge but it is not a necessity since the update is a monthly update patch and not full blown Android Nougat. Finally, you need to establish connectivity with a Wi-Fi network to avoid excessive mobile charges.
