BlackBerry has rolled out May security update for the premium BlackBerry DTEK50 smartphone. With build AAL135, the update is currently rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your smartphone depending upon your location.
The May security update is pushed for the BlackBerry DTEK50 with model number STH100-2 running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Android security patch level has been dated May 5 alongside Kernel version 3.10.84.
The update measures 100.5MB in size. Hence, you can expect few minor improvements. If you work with BlackBerry DTEK50, you should install the update because it provides added protection to your smartphone. You will experience enhanced performance and stability after the installation of the update.
If your device is eligible, you will view an update message notification. You can also manually verify the presence of the update by navigating to Settings | About device | System updates.
On the specifications front, the BlackBerry DTEK50 is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS FHD display, Snapdragon 617 processor, Adreno 405 graphics, 3GB RAM, 16GB expandable (256GB) internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing snapper powered by a 2610mAh battery.
