If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing to launch Mi 6 Youth Edition. Based on rumors, the smartphone will be named as Mi6 Lite. However, the specifications will be trimmed and will not be the same as the standard model of Xiaomi Mi6.
According to reports from unconfirmed sources, the Xiaomi Mi6 Youth Edition will feature Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB internal storage.
Hence, the company is targeting the budget segment. The addition of 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is identical to that of the Mi6 Standard Edition.
Likely to be equipped with a 5.15-inch FHD display, the Xiaomi Mi6 Youth Edition will be equipped with a dual 12MP rear camera sensor and 8MP front-facing snapper. The handset will also feature a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button. A 3350mAh battery supplies the required power for the handset.
Like the name suggests, Xiaomi will most likely downgrade the specifications and features to accommodate the cost of a budget-friendly handset. While the Mi6 standard variant has been priced at RMB 2499, the Xiaomi Mi6 Youth Edition will be available at a reduced price.
To recall, Xiaomi Mi6 was launched in April 2017. The standard variant is equipped with a glass body and the company also released a ceramic edition.
