ZTE Z851 WiFi Alliance Certification Hints At An Imminent Launch

ZTE Z851 smartphone loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat has cleared Wi-Fi Alliance. The handset reportedly received the certification on May 8 bearing model number Z851. With the clearance of the ZTE Z851 by Wi-Fi Alliance, we can expect an imminent launch of the smartphone within the next few days.

Tagged with certification ID WFA71784, the ZTE Z851 has been categorized as a battery powered mobile access point. While the hardware version is listed as Z835HW1.0, the firmware version is filed as Z835HW1.0.0B01.

We don’t have any information about the rumored specifications except the fact that the smartphone will be loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The frequency band is listed as 2.4GHz.

Regarding the specifications, there is conflicting information about the RAM specifications. There are reports that ZTE will pack the phone with either 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM.

Moreover, you can also expect a dual camera mechanism with 23MP and 12MP sensors on the rear side coupled with LED Flash. The attraction of the rumored ZTE Z851 is the addition of thin bezels on the front.

In addition to Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the upcoming ZTE Z851 will ship with a Snapdragon 835 processor paired with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The processor is expected to run at a clock speed of 1.9GHz.
