AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Gets Better With Improvements

AT&T has pushed an update for the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with significant enhancements. According to sources, the update resolves color balance settings including improvements to Bixby button. The update is being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take some time for the update to hit our smartphone depending upon your availability.

With Build number NRD90M.G950USQU1AQDE, the update for Samsung Galaxy S8 tagged with G950U has ben released with the baseband version G950USQU1AQDE. The security patch level has been released on April 1, 2017, with Kernel version 4.4.16-11131491. However, the latest update has been released on May 9. The size of the update is listed between 419MB and 480MB.

The update for the Samsung Galaxy S8+ dubbed with SKU G955U has ben given a build number NRD90M.G955USQU1AQDE paired with baseband version G955USQU1AQDE. With Kernel version 4.4.16-11131491, the update has been released on May 9. You should note that the size of the update is given as 480MB.

In addition to color balance display settings modification, the latest update to Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ also provides a fix for Data Quality Assessment (DQA) error pop-up via Force close method. If you install the update, your smartphone also provides fix for 5G Access Point (AP) Wi-Fi compatibility. Moreover, you will also notice short press timing change for Bixby button key.

As you can see, the size of the update for both smartphones is above 400MB. Hence, you need to make use of Wi-Fi to download and install the update. If you are unable to view the message notification, you will have to wait for few days. Alternatively, you can manually tap on Settings icon to verify whether the update is available or not.

Last but not the least, you should charge the devices up to 90 percent for an uninterrupted installation process. You can download the update via 4G provided you have unlimited connectivity or up to 1GB bandwidth per day.
