Samsung has started to push April security update for the Galaxy Core Prime smartphone and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet. The update is just a monthly patch release but you should install it since the update consists of important bug fixes and performance enhancements.
If you install the April security update, the security of your Galaxy Core Prime smartphone and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet will enhance to a great extent. Samsung has rolled out the update in the form of OTA.
Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit the smartphone. If you are eligible, you will receive an update message notification. You have to proceed as per the directions displayed on the display.
Tagged with build number P350ZSU1BQD5, the April security update is available for the WiFi variant of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet. While the Galaxy Core Prime receives the update with build number G360FXXS1BQD2, the Galaxy Core Prime LTE update has been tagged with G361FXXU1AQD1 as the build number.
In addition to security patches, the update also includes bug fixes and improvements related to the system. As mentioned above, it will take few days for the update to reach your smartphone. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update by navigating to the Settings menu.
In the meantime, Samsung has started to roll out May security update for Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy C9 Pro with build numbers G610YZTU1AQD7 and C9000ZCU1AQE2 respectively.
