BlackBerry has rolled out May security update for the BlackBerry PRIV smartphone with build number AAL202. If you install the update, your device will be refreshed with latest updates and bug fixes. Moreover, the update is being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take some time for the update to hit your handsets.
With build number AAL202, the May security update provides bug fixes to commonly reported issues including system enhancements.
The update measures 198.2MB in size, which you can download via both Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity. If you work with BlackBerry PRIV, you need to install the update since it improves the security of the device.
If you are eligible, you will view an update message notification. You can also check for the update manually by navigating to the Settings menu. You need to select System updates option from the About device page.
Even though you can install the May security update for BlackBerry PRIV via mobile data, it is recommended to install the update via Wi-Fi to avoid interruptions. Furthermore, you need to charge the handset at least 90 percent since the process takes few minutes to complete.
