If rumors are to be believed, you can expect the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 7R in China and South Korea. The alphabet “R” here signifies Refurbished. After the complete discontinuation of the Galaxy Note 7 in October 2016, the company has started to think of distributing the Refurbished version of the handset.
According to rumors, the Galaxy Note 7R will be sold 50 percent less than the original retail price. Hence, you will be able to purchase the handset at $400.
The handset will most likely hit the retail shelves within one month although there is no official confirmation. There are also reports that the smartphone will be released in two different variants.
Meanwhile, an online retailer based in China has listed the details of the Galaxy Note 7R between CNY 3599 to CNY 3999. Hence, you can infer that the price will start from $521. However, the cost of the smartphone is less than the original retail price of the Galaxy Note 7 handset.
On the specifications front, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7R will feature the same internals as the Note 7 including Iris scanner. However, Samsung has replaced the battery to 3200mAh from the 3500mAh in the original counterpart.
That said, you should accept the facts only with a pinch of salt since there is no official confirmation. We don’t have any idea as to when Samsung will release the phone in India.
