Verizon has rolled out an update to fix the red tint on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. Even though Samsung released the Galaxy S8 with many expectations, the red tint on the display caused major concerns among consumers. In addition to the red tint fix, the update being pushed via OTA also features several enhancements.
Interestingly, tech-savvy customers managed to fix the red tint problem on their own. However, consumers who don’t have any knowledge about how to fix the issue faced serious problems. The push of an update via automated mode will help consumers to easily resolve the problem.
Initially, the update for red tint issue has been released in Korea followed by other countries. Moreover, the US-based mobile carriers have started to push updates.
While the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8 is tagged with Software Version NRD90M.G950USQU1AQDF, the update for the Galaxy S8+ is being introduced with build number NRD90M.G955USQU1AQDF.
According to the official Verizon support page, the latest update introduces the shopping feature for Bixby vision including improvements to the display settings including other essential bug fixes.
With Bixby Vision, you will be able to focus the camera sensor at the item you would like to purchase. When you tap on the Bixby Vision button, the digital voice assistant will search for the relevant product on Amazon.
The another major feature of the update is the fine tuning of your Infinity display. You just need to tap on Settings | Display and Screen mode to modify the settings. You will be able to fine-tune the color balance of your display as per your requirement. This will resolve the red tint problem with the flagship Galaxy S8 series.
Samsung has established partnerships with Amazon for shopping, Pinterest, Foursquare, Google Translate, and Vivino. If you install the update, you will not view the pop-up error captioned DQA keeps stopping including other essential bug fixes.
If you work with Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, you will view an update message notification. It will take few days for the update to hit your handset depending upon your location. You can also manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates.
Before proceeding to download the update, you need to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Moreover, you need to completely charge the smartphone to avoid interruption.
