T-Mobile has started to roll out Android Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphone. The US-based mobile carrier has already rolled out the update via OTA. However, it will take few days for the update to appear on your smartphone.
The official T-Mobile software update page has stated that the software has been approved to launch and is now available for public consumption. If you download the update, your smartphone will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, which brings a wide range of new features.
With software build version G928TUVU4EQC6, the latest update also brings in enhancements and bug fixes. If you install the update, you can not only expect new features but also stability to the system.
Even though T-Mobile has pushed the update, it will take few days for it to arrive on your handset. If your device is eligible, you will view a message notification. Alternatively, you can manually check for the presence of the update by tapping Settings icon.
To recall, the company had released a beta release of the Android Nougat for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. After gathering feedback from customers, a full-blown Android Nougat has been released.
Before proceeding to tap on the Download button, you should activate Wi-Fi and charge the smartphone up to 100 percent. You should note that the update will be around 1GB because of Android Nougat. Hence, your device should have adequate power to download and install the Nougat.
After the installation, you can enjoy all the rich benefits of Android Nougat such as enhanced doze mode, improved notifications including the ability to work with split-screen functionality.
