T-Mobile has rolled out a security update for LG V20 and LG G Stylo smartphones. The updates are being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the newly released update to hit your handsets.
Tagged with software version H91810k, the update for LG V20 includes not only Google monthly security update but also e911 time fix. Moreover, it also includes several bug fixes. If you install the update, the stability of your device will be improved to a great extent since the company has integrated several new improvements. You will be able to enjoy an enhanced user experience after the installation of the latest update.
With software version H63120o, the update for LG G Stylo also includes the Google monthly security update including a resolution to the e911 timer.
The update also includes several bug fixes in addition to enhancement. Technically, the features included with the update are identical to that of LG V20. You need to install the previous update with version number H63120K to receive the update.
While the update for LG V20 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, the update for the LG G Stylo is pushed on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The updates are being rolled out via OTA. If you are eligible to receive an update, you will view a message notification. You should proceed as per the instructions displayed on the screen.
If you are unable to view the message notification, you should wait for few days. Alternatively, you can manually check the presence of the update by tapping Settings icon.
Before initiating the download of the update, you should activate WiFi and charge the handset up to 90 percent to avoid interruption during the download process. The update will not be of huge size but it is recommended to make use of WiFi although you can use 4G.
