OnePlus 5

OnePlus is gearing up to launch OnePlus 5 within the next few months. We expect the launch of OnePlus 5 before the end of July 2017. However, there is a huge influx of rumors in the form of specifications and images. The latest news is that a user with the handle @Reviewer_, took to Weibo and shared three images of the rumored OnePlus 5.

According to the latest leaks, the upcoming OnePlus 5 is expected to ship with a dual rear camera setup placed horizontally. However, there are conflicting reports that the dual camera will be placed vertically. Whatever may be, you can expect a dual camera sensor on the rear side.

Upon inspection of the images, we can infer that the OnePlus 5 has been wrapped with a protective cover. We can clearly spot the dual rear camera, which is placed vertically. You can find the LED flash below the dual cameras.

We can see that the protective cover looks ribbed in dark blue color. However, the top and bottom portions are separated by extra layers for adequate grip.

In the second image, you will be able to visualize the power and volume rockers with speaker grills on the side. The display reads Never Settle and there are icons placed on the home screen. The physical home button is placed on the bottom. The highlight of the leaked image is that the display is positioned at an angle to enable you to view the controls on the side panel.

The third image showcases the display on the front with the same icons. Towards the top, you can see the selfie LED flash.

Based on the latest leaks, the OnePlus 5 will ship with 16MP dual camera setup. When competing manufacturers are shipping devices with a trimmed secondary dual camera, the OnePlus has decided to integrate the same 16MP sensor on both rear camera sensors.

On the specifications front, the OnePlus 5 will be powered by a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 835 processor powered by a 3600mAh battery. You will work with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Moreover, the OnePlus 5 will ship with 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage capacities.

The latest leaks suggest the fact that the OnePlus 5 will be available in gold, black, dark red, cyan and light blue color variants. To recall, OnePlus will ditch the number “4” since the numeric value is considered as unlucky in China.
