HTC has started to roll out an update with the latest security patch for the HTC U Ultra smartphones. The update also includes several performance enhancements. However, going by the looks of the Android display, the update has been pushed to China.
With build number 1.62.1405.1, the update is currently being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the new update to reflect on your smartphone. A user with the handle @Old black _Knight took to Chinese social networking site Weibo and revealed the arrival of the update.
If you install the latest update measuring 343.73MB, your HTC U Ultra will work smoothly and also gets rid of the bugs reported so far.
Going by the size of the update, your device should work bug-free after the installation. It is absolutely essential for you to install the latest update to protect from the various viruses and malware including ransomware.
If you work with HTC U Ultra, you will view a message notification stating the arrival of the update. You need to proceed as per the instructions.
If you are unable to view the notification, you will have to wait for some time. Alternatively, you can verify the presence of the update by navigating to Settings | About Device | System Updates menu.
If you are located outside China, don’t fret. HTC is smart to punch the updates and you can expect the same for HTC U Ultra within the next couple of days.
