Qualcomm has unveiled Quick Charge 4+ technology, which provides enhanced faster and cooler charging. Touted to be an improved version of Quick Charge 4, the newly launched Quick Charge 4+ provides support for dual charge, intelligent thermal balancing coupled with advanced safety features.
In a statement released to the press, Qualcomm disclosed that the Quick Charge 4+ technology is designed in such a way that it extends the life cycle of the battery. Moreover, your device will be safer to operate without any sign of heating.
According to company sources, the dual charge technology has been improved since it infuses a second power management IC in the device. It works by dividing the charge current, which not only reduces the thermal dissipation but also decreases the overall charge time.
With Intelligent Thermal Balancing, the current will be automatically migrated to the coolest path. It will help the device not to overheat during charging and usage. The company revealed that the addition of thermal balancing feature will eliminate hot spots and ensures optimized power delivery.
In addition to improved case monitoring, the Quick Charge 4+ also helps you to manage connector temperature levels simultaneously. The company revealed that the extra layer of protection will protect your valuable device against overheating, short circuit including possible damage to the connector.
The Quick Charge 4+ technology will have a capability to achieve 30 percent efficiency when compared to the previous counterpart Quick Charge 4. If you look at the Quick Charge 4 feature, it will have the power to charge the device from 0 to 50 percent in 15 minutes.
