Verizon Moto Droid Turbo 2 gets better with latest security update

Verizon has rolled out the latest security patch updates for the Moto Droid Turbo 2 smartphone. You should note that the update is not the June patch since the mobile carrier hasn’t pushed updates for the month of May.

With software version 25.201.6.kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US, the software update provides the latest Android security patches on the Moto Droid Turbo 2 handset.

If you install the update, your device will be refreshed to the month of April or May. Based on the reports, the update will install new features, improvements including patches related to security.

The update is being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take some time for the update to hit your smartphone. If you work with Moto Droid Turbo 2 on Verizon, you will view a message notification prompting you to install the update. If you are unable to view the update, you have to wait for some time. Alternatively, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon.

Before proceeding to download the update, you need to activate Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to 100 percent. It is not necessary to charge the handset to full capacity since the update will be a minor one with less than 400MB. However, it is better that you charge the handset to at least 80 percent for uninterrupted installation.

If you work with the Verizon Moto Droid Turbo 2 phone, you should install the update because your handset will be protected against latest virus threats including malware and ransomware.
