According to the company sources, the premium smartphone will launch at the event and the keynote will be rendered by the company CEO Pete Lau. Meanwhile, India Today recently posted an image which revealed the presence of the vertical dual-camera identical to that of the OnePlus 3T camera sensor placement. Upon inspection of the leaked design, we can see that the upcoming handset will eliminate the awkward antenna lines. The phone provides antenna lines but will be hidden. If OnePlus 5 ships with a horizontal camera mechanism, it will look similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus.

On the specifications front, the OnePlus 5 will feature a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat.

There are widespread reports on the rumor mills about the release of a premium OnePlus 5 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. If OnePlus release a smartphone with 8GB RAM, then it will compete with the upcoming Surface Phone. However, there is no sign of any imminent release of Surface Phone since there is no official confirmation.
