Sony has pushed Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Sont Xperia XA smartphone. With build number 33.3.A.0.127, the update not only includes Android Nougat but also May security patch.
According to Xperiablog, the update is available for both single and dual SIM variants. You will be able to install the update for devices with model numbers F3111, F3113, F3115, F3112, and F3116. The last two model numbers form part of the dual SIM variant.
After the installation of the update, you will be able to work with all the features included with Android Nougat such as split-screen, improved navigation, and enhanced Doze mode. Moreover, you will be able to access refreshed notification shade and Settings menu. Your device will be able to experience enhanced battery life due to the integration of the Doze power saving mode.
If you install the update, you will be able to experience improved stability and performance. The Android 7.0 Nougat update is currently available via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the new software to hit your handsets. You will view a message notification when the update is available for your device. It will vary depending upon the region.
If you are unable to view a message notification, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings menu. You need to select Software Updates option from the About Phone menu.
