OnePlus 5 registrations crosses 300000 in China

With only a few days left for the official launch of OnePlus 5, the registrations for the upcoming handset has started on JD.com. According to reports, the total number of registrations has crossed 300,000. The company is scheduled to launch the phone on June 20 in China and June 22 in India. If you are located in China, you can register from June 14 to June 22.

Touted as a successor to OnePlus 3, the upcoming OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat.

The phone will be powered by a 3600mAh battery paired with Dash Charge 2.0 technology. Moreover, the phone will include a USB Type-C port. There are also reports that the OnePlus 5 will be made available in 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variants.

On the optics front, the OnePlus 5 will ship with dual rear cameras with 16MP sensor alongside Dx0 Mark flavor to enhance the imaging experience. You can also expect a 16MP front-facing snapper. Unlike iPhone 7, the OnePlus 5 will not ditch the traditional headphone port. You will also find a fingerprint sensor on the physical home button.

In the meantime, OnePlus 3T will not be available in the US and Europe. Moreover, the company sources revealed to us that the production of the OnePlus 3T has been stopped. However, the handset will continue to get periodic updates. To add disappointment, the OnePlus 2 will not be refreshed with Android 7.0 Nougat.
