AT&T has rolled out June security update for the ZTE ZMAX 2 (Z958) smartphone. The update is being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your devices.
With software build number Z958V1.0.0B26, the June security update for ZTE ZMAX 2 (Z958) is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Moreover, the update is tagged with Kernel version 3.10.49. Moreover, the baseband version of the update is mentioned as Z958H01.
In addition to performance and stability enhancements, the June security update for ZTE ZMAX 2 (Z958) also provides bug fixes for various security vulnerabilities. Hence, you should install the update since it will protect your device to a large extent.
If you have access to ZTE ZMAX 2 (Z958), you will receive a message notification via OTA. If you are unable to receive a notification, you need to wait for few more days. Alternatively, you can verify the presence of the update manually by tapping Settings icon.
