Samsung has rolled out June security update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 handset. With software version N920W8VLS4CQF2, the update installs the latest patches related to security. In addition to the standard bug fixes, the update also includes performance and system enhancements. If you install the update, you will experience improved performance.
It will take few days for the update to reach your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 because the update is rolled out via OTA. If you are eligible, you will view a message notification. You have to proceed as per the directions displayed on the display. You can also manually check for the presence of the update by tapping Settings icon.
Before proceeding to install the update, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Moreover, you should charge the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 up to 60 percent to avoid interruption. The update installation will not corrupt the files inside the device but it’s advisable to capture a backup of images and videos.
Even if you have 30 percent charge, you can proceed with the installation since the software is only a security update. If it is full blown Android 7.0 Nougat, you need to charge completely. We are not sure as to whether the June update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is available in all regions.
