AT&T has pushed Android Nougat update for the LG K10 smartphone. Tagged with software version K42520c, the update measuring 1.22GB is currently being rolled out via OTA. While the kernel version of the update is given as 3.10.49, the build number is specified as NRD90U.
Even though the security patch level is dated April 1, 2017, the US-based carrier has released the update on June 21, 2017. You should note that the version number of the Android Nougat update is 7.0 and not 7.1.
If you install the update, you will be able to work with all the new features of the Android Nougat. Moreover, the update also includes security patch for the month of April including bug fixes.
As mentioned above, the size of the update is huge since the software is a full blown Android Nougat. Hence, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to full capacity before initiating the download process.
The main purpose behind the activation of Wi-Fi is to avoid excess data charges. However, if you have access to an unlimited 4G connectivity, you can try to install the update via mobile data. If you are eligible, you will receive a message notification.
If you are unable to receive a notification, you need to wait for few more days. However, you can manually verify the presence of the update by navigating to Settings | About device | System updates menu option.
