With just a few days after the official launch, OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 4.5.2 update via OTA. If you had a chance to purchase the handset, you should either receive an automated message notification or manually tap the Settings icon from the home screen.
The OxygenOS 4.5.2 update for OnePlus 5 resolves an issue associated with app installation. Moreover, it also rectifies the system update problems. The latest update also includes improvements related to the camera including stability enhancements related to Bluetooth, Network, and System. Your device will also be compatible with third party apps. The update is being launched based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
It’s interesting that OnePlus has identified several bugs within few days of launch. We expect the company to roll out another round of updates within the next few days when more customers work with the handset. It looks like Amazon will be running a big sale ahead of July 1 GST rollout.
If you are using OnePlus 5, you can install the update by following the instructions displayed on the screen. It will take few days for the update to hit your handsets. Going forward, you can expect series of security updates including improvements.
Meanwhile, OnePlus had confirmed the roll out of Android O update. However, you have to wait until August to test drive OnePlus 5 with the beta version of the upcoming Android platform. The full stable version will be available by the end of December 2017.
We are unable to point out a specific time frame but the update will be available before the end of September. It will take few days for the Chinese-based company to push the updates after the official launch of the update by Google. To recall, OnePlus 5 will also be available in the Gold color variant.
