Within few days after the official launch, OnePlus has again rolled out the second update via OTA for OnePlus 5 smartphone powered by Snapdragon 835 processor. The first OTA update was rolled out two days back with improvements to OxygenOS 4.5.2 in addition to bug fixes.
The second update to OnePlus 5 within a span of two days looks interesting. However, the update is not related to stabilization issues associated with the 4K recording. If you install the latest update, the operating platform version will increase to OxygenOS 4.5.3 with a size of 54MB.
As per the official OnePlus update page, the update comes with bug fixes and optimizations. The update provides fixes an issue associated with expanded screenshot display, Google Translate stutters including occasional signal drops related to Wi-Fi.
Meanwhile, the update also provides several optimizations such as system stability, camera effect, and stability including accuracy of data usage statistics. It also improves the effect of auto-brightness adjustment.
You can expect more updates within the next few days because the company should make an impression that they are really working towards the feedback offered by the customers. With only 54MB in size, you can easily download and install OxygenOS 4.5.3 update via either Wi-Fi or 4G connectivity.
If you had a chance to grab OnePlus 5 soon after the launch, you should check for the message notification, which prompts you to install the update. You can also manually check for the presence of the update by navigating to Settings | System Updates | Check for Updates.
