Samsung Galaxy A7, A5 and A3 2017 gets better with June security update

Samsung has rolled out June security update for Galaxy A7, A5, and A3 2017 smartphones. While the update for Samsung Galaxy A7 is tagged with build A720FXXU1AQF2, the Galaxy A5 has been pinned with build number A520FXXU2AQF3. If you look at the update of Galaxy A3 it comes with build number A320FXXU2AQF2a.

If you install the update, the above devices will be refreshed with latest security patches. In addition to bug fixes, the June Security Update for Samsung Galaxy A series handsets also includes a series of system improvements and enhancements.

The updates are being rolled out over OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your smartphone. If you are unable to view the message notification, you should manually check for the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon. You should select About Device and then tap on the button captioned Software Updates.

Before proceeding to install the update, you should activate Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Moreover, you should charge the handset up to full capacity to avoid interruption during installation. Even though the update will not cause any damage to your smartphone, it is advisable for you to capture a backup of the entire content as a precautionary measure.
