The updates are being rolled out over OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your smartphone. If you are unable to view the message notification, you should manually check for the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon. You should select About Device and then tap on the button captioned Software Updates.
Before proceeding to install the update, you should activate Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Moreover, you should charge the handset up to full capacity to avoid interruption during installation. Even though the update will not cause any damage to your smartphone, it is advisable for you to capture a backup of the entire content as a precautionary measure.
