Asus has pushed Android 7.0 Nougat update for ZenPad 3S 10 tablet. With software version V14.0210.1706.20, the update for Asus ZenPad 3S 10 is being rolled out via OTA. According to the official Asus support page, the update will be available within the next one week for all customers.
As usual, the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Asus ZenPad 3S 10 ships with a refreshed user interface, improved notifications, enhanced Doze mode including a new settings menu. It also brings in several bug fixes and features. The update removed redundant app shortcuts such as Audio Wizard, Splendid, System update from all apps menu. It also removed PC Suite (CD-ROM) option.
Asus has removed Tap and hold to show menu option from Settings | ASUS customized settings | Touch key. The update added Tap and hold to active Multi-window option in Touch key setting.
The quick settings option provide support for multiple pages. You will be able to swipe left to right to view quick settings if you are using more than 12. The update has added Game Genie. Furthermore, the ZenUI Keyboard added New Unicode code 9.0 emoji and skin tone.
After the system update, the preloaded Holo Spiral, Bubbles, Black Hole, and Phase Beam live wallpapers will not be available since they are not compatible with Android Nougat.
You will notice serious improvements when it comes to bundled notifications. If you receive multiple notifications for a single app are received, they are bundled together into a single group, which can be expanded to view the individual messages.
Before downloading the installation file, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to 90 percent. If you are eligible, you will receive an automated notification. Otherwise, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings menu. You need to select Software updates option from the About menu.
