BLU, a popular Chinese-based smartphone company has announced the push of June security update for the BLU R1 HD smartphone. The update is currently rolling out via over the air. If you are working on the smartphone, you need to wait for few days because the update will be available in a phased manner.
With software version number BLU_R0010UU_V8.5_GENERIC_6.0_20170613-1831, the June security update measuring 134.53MB in size features not only system enhancements but also bug fixes. The update is made available for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
BLUE has rolled out the update just a few days after the OTA release of an update, which provided support for Band 12 and 4G VoLTE for customers making use of T-Mobile.
The official BLU R1 HD screenshot mentions that the software update includes the latest Android security updates. Hence, you should install the update since it provides adequate protection for your handset against viruses and malware.
You should receive a message notification, which prompts you to install the update. If you are unable to view a notification on your mobile, you can manually navigate to Settings page and check for the presence of the update.
That said, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to 90 percent to install the update. If you are concerned, you should also capture a backup of all your images and videos.
