OnePlus is gearing up to release an update to resolve the problems associated with the Jelly effect in OnePlus 5. The users have been reporting several issues ever since the official launch of OnePlus 5 on June 22. The company has already released two rounds of updates to resolve various anomalies in the software.
The current problem with OnePlus 5 is the issue associated with the name Jelly Effect. The problem can be easily noticed during the scrolling of the content in either a browser or an app. You will visualize a jell-like visual effect.
In a statement released to the press, OnePlus confirmed the presence of the Jelly Effect. However, the company revealed that the problem is natural and there is no variance in display across various devices. The product team confirmed that they are working to fix the problem. Moreover, an update will be released via OTA within the next few days.
According to tech analysts, the Jelly effect on the display is due to an out-of-sync frame rate associated with the refresh rate of OnePlus 5 display. There are reports that the display could have been integrated upside-down during the production stage.
We don’t have any information about the exact reason behind the Jelly effect. However, there is nothing to panic and an update to resolve the problem will be made available before the end of July. To recall, Samsung also faced problems with the display on the recently released Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones.
