As you can see, the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has not been included in the list. Recently a Xiaomi-branded smartphone codenamed Riva was spotted running Android 7.1.2 Nougat on GeekBench. Even though Xiaomi regularly updates MIUI, the company does not have a good track record of releasing latest updates. However, with the release of updates for a wide range of smartphone, the company has started to think seriously.
After the installation of the relevant updates, your Xiaomi smartphones will refresh with new features such as split-screen functionality, improved notifications, and enhanced Doze mode. We expect the company to push MIUI 9 update within the next couple of days.
