Verizon has rolled out June security update to BlackBerry PRIV handset. With build number AAL748, the June security update for BlackBerry PRIV measuring 126.7MB in size addresses security-related vulnerabilities.
Moreover, the update provides fixes to various bugs reported by the customers. After the installation of the update, you can expect enhanced performance alongside stability while working with BlackBerry PRIV handset. BlackBery has retained the AAL prefix on the update since the previous builds were also known by AAL687 and AAL425 respectively.
Before proceeding to download the update, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to 90 percent. The official Verizon support page prompts you to charge the phone to 100 percent. However, you should be able to install the update even if you have 30 percent charge because the capacity of the update is less than a full-blown Android Nougat.
If you work with BlackBerry PRIV smartphone, you should receive an update message notification. Otherwise, you can manually verify the presence of the update by navigating to Settings menu.
