Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, J1 2016 and J3 2016 Gets Better With June Security Update

Samsung has rolled out June security update for the Galaxy J7 Max, Galaxy J3 2016 and Galaxy J1 2017 smartphones. It will take few days for the update to hit your handsets because the software modules are being released in a phased manner via OTA. If you download and install the patch, your device will be protected against latest threats.

While the software build version for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is tagged as G615FXXU1AQF4, the Galaxy J3 2016 bags a build number J320FXXU0AQF1. When it comes to the Galaxy J1 2016, the software build version is dubbed as J120HXXS0AQF1.

If you work with the above smartphones, you should check for the presence of the update, which will appear in the form of a message notification. If you are unable to view any message, you can manually check by navigating to Settings | About | Software update menu.

Although the installation of the update will not cause any data loss, you should capture a backup of the data before proceeding to download the update. Moreover, you should activate Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to 90 percent before downloading the update.
