Xiaomi launched the much-awaited Xiaomi Mi Max 2 at an event in New Delhi with a large 6.44-inch display and Snapdragon 625 processor. Interestingly, the company only launched one configuration with one color variant.
The attraction of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the integration of a 6.44-inch FHD display, 4GB RAM, and 12MP Sony IMX386 camera. Moreover, the handset includes a powerful 5300mAh battery, which is higher than the currently available Mi Max 2. Let us examine the specifications in detail.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is equipped with a 6.44-inch FHD 2.5G curved glass display with a pixel density of 342PPI. The display panel brightness is 450nits with 73 percent NTSC color gamut. Xiaomi also infused Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. During the launch event, Xiaomi disclosed that the handset will not cause any problems for reading in direct sunlight.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor running at a clock speed of 2GHz. The handset also offers 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage coupled with Adreno 506 graphics.
On the optics front, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 bears a 12MP Sony IMX386 rear camera sensor coupled with f/2.2 aperture. The camera also offers support for PDAF and dual-LED flash. The sensor includes 1.25-micron pixels, which helps you to capture images accurately. The front side is equipped with a 5MP camera alongside f/2.0 aperture and real-time beautification options.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is infused with a powerful and reliable 5300mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The smartphone is capable of charging from 0 to 70 percent within one hour. The battery is expected to deliver 31 days of standby time alongside 57 hours of talk time.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is loaded with MIUI 8 on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Hence, you will be able to work with features such as split-screen, enhanced Doze mode and improved notifications.
In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 provides support for Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB Type-C port. Moreover, you can insert dual-SIM comprising of one Micro and one Nano card. The handset also includes advanced features such as standard sensors such as ambient light, infrared, fingerprint, and proximity in addition to the accelerometer. With a thickness of 7.6mm, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 measures 211 grams in weight.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be available for Rs. 16999 on July 20 exclusively on Mi.com and Mi Home offline store. The sale is also part of the grand 3-year Mi Anniversary festival.
