OnePlus 5 911 reboot issue resolved with OxygenOS 4.5.6 update

OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 4.5.6 update via OTA to address the 911 reboot problem associated with certain units of the recently released OnePlus 5. The company has disclosed on the official forum that the update is in the form of a hot fix. Hence, you should install the update immediately.

The 911 reboot issue erupted when few units of OnePlus 5 started to reboot instead of establishing connectivity with the emergency service. The company had revealed that they are looking to resolve the problem. With one day, the product team managed to fix the problem and rolled out the latest update as OxygenOS 4.5.6. The main purpose of the update is to resolve the 911 bug.

If you have OnePlus 5, you should check the presence of the update which will appear in the form of the message notification. If you are unable to view any notification, you have to wait for few more days since the bits are pushed in a phased manner. Initially, the update will be made available to select number of users followed by general users located in all regions.

After the release of OnePlus 5 one month back, the smartphone is plagued by a wide range of problems. The company had to tackle the jelly scrolling effect on the display, audio problem and issues pertaining to Wi-Fi. With the recent surfacing of 911 reboot issue, the company is faced serious problems when the competitor like Honor is sailing smooth.
