T-Mobile has rolled out July security update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus smartphones. If you work with these smartphones, you should install the update since it provides the much-needed improvements to the whole device. The installation of the latest security updates is absolutely essential to maintain good health of your smartphone.
The July security update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with model number N920T is being rolled out as build number N920TUVS4EQG1 and is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The official T-Mobile support page states that the update includes system enhancements.
When it comes to Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, the update comes in the form of the baseband version G928TUVS4EQG1. If you install the update, you will get the same features as the Galaxy Note 5.
With only 25MB in size, the update can be easily installed over either 3G or 4G mobile connectivity on the go. However, if you are located in an area which is not covered properly by your service provider then you need to switch over to Wi-Fi.
To download and install the July security update, you need to tap on the message notification. It will take nearly one week for the update to hit your handset depending upon the location. You can also manually check the update by tapping the Settings button.
The only point to note is that you need to charge the smartphone up to 85 percent before initiating the download process. Although you can install the update with 30 percent charge, it is advisable to charge to the maximum level to avoid interruption.
