Google released Android 7.0 Nougat nearly one year back. However, several smartphones are yet to get the update. If you look at the statistics, many smartphones and tablets are still loaded with Android Marshmallow. There are several cases where handsets are still loaded with Android KitKat.
The latest news is that the Android 7.0 Nougat update is available for LG G4 smartphones. Previously, the company had revealed that the LG G4 will get the Nougat update but it will occur during the second half of 2017. If you are waiting for the update, then you will not have to wait until the end of December. LG will likely push the update in September-October time frame.
According to reports, the Android 7.0 Nougat for LG G4 has surfaced on the LG Bridge app in South Korea. If you are unaware, the app enables users to establish connectivity with LG smartphone to a Windows PC or Mac for the management of the device. However, the company has not yet pushed the update over the air. The reports suggest that the roll out will happen within the next few weeks.
If you don’t have the patience to wait for the update, you can download the KDZ images of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for LG G4 from XDA Developers for F500K, F500L, and F500S models. You need to download the software bits and perform the required installation manually.
If you work with H815 in Europe, then you have to wait more time. It is highly unlikely that LG G4 will get updates beyond Android 7.0 Nougat because of the outdated specifications.
