Meizu has released the flagship Meizu Pro 7 smartphone in China. The main highlight of the Meizu Pro 7 is the integration of a 1.9-inch secondary Super AMOLED display panel on the rear side. The main purpose of the display is to display relevant notifications including the capability to capture selfies using the camera located on the back side.
Design
Meizu Pro 7 has been manufactured with an all metal unibody design coupled with a brushed metal rear. Moreover, it includes vertical Meizu branding on the left edge of the handset. The company has placed the secondary display on the top half of the opposite edge with dual rear cameras located above the display. The addition of the secondary display helps you to view notifications such as emails, messages, music and much more.
Display
Meizu Pro 7 features a 5.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display. It is possible to easily read content including web browsing with a large display. The front display is supplemented with a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED display on the rear of the handset. We wonder whether the company will provide a special case for the newly launched handset. The phone also features a fingerprint sensor, which is capable of unlocking the handset within seconds.
Performance
On the specifications front, the Meizu Pro 7 features an Helio P25 processor, 4GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage. The Meizu Pro 7 Plus smartphone is available in Helio X30 processor variant with 128GB expandable internal storage. The Pro Plus version is an advanced phone with Helio X30 processor and is manufactured with the 10nm manufacturing process for low heat generation.
Camera
The Meizu Pro 7 ships with a 12MP dual camera with f/2.0 aperture comprising of Sony IMX386 sensors with LED Flash. The phone includes two numbers of 12MPsensors. It is possible to shoot RGB images and monochrome pictures with the sensors. The selfie lovers can also cheer because of the addition of 16MP sensor. During the official launch, the company revealed that the rear camera is capable of shooting excellent quality images even under low-light conditions.
Battery
When it comes to the backup segment, the Meizu Pro 7 is powered by a 3000mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 fast charging technology. The device will get a backup of over 2 days upon normal usage. Moreover, the phone will charge quickly because of the fast charging via USB Type-C port.
Android Platform
Meizu has integrated Android 7.1 Nougat with both Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus handsets. The operating system is decorated with Flyme OS 6, which provides the fluid user experience. It is also possible to play with all the latest features of Android Nougat such as split-screen functionality, improved notifications, and enhanced power saving mode via Doze.
