HTC has rolled out July update with patches for the HTC U Ultra smartphone. With build number 1.64.617.2, the latest July security update for the HTC U Ultra is based on Android 7.0 Nougat and is currently available only for customers based in the USA.
After the installation of the update, the HTC U Ultra handset will be refreshed with latest bug fixes including security related vulnerabilities. The update also brings in several improvements related to the system and stability.
Launched in January, the HTC U Ultra is equipped with a 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM coupled with both 64GB and 128GB internal storage. The display is protected with Sapphire glass to avoid scratches and fingerprints from appearing on the display.
To install the update, you need to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge your handset up to 90 percent to avoid interruptions. Normally, you will view a message notification on the display. It is also possible to manually verify the presence of the update by navigating to the Settings menu.
