Coolpad Note 5 Lite C First Impressions

Coolpad has launched the much-awaited Note 5 Lite C smartphone. According to company sources, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C will be sold exclusively via 3000 multi-brand retail stores across India starting August 5. The handset loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat will be available in Gold and Grey color variants at Rs. 7777.

Design

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is designed using a metal unibody design paired with the fingerprint sensor on the rear. While the power key is placed on the right edge of the smartphone, the volume buttons find its place on the left edge. Unlike iPhone7, the Note 5 Lite C features a traditional 3.5mm headphone port located on the top edge. The speaker grills and micro-USB ports are located at the bottom edge of the handset. The navigation is made possible via capacitive keys. Hence, the phone doesn’t ship with a physical home button.

Display

Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is equipped with a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display alongside 294ppi pixel density. Even though the display is not large, it is possible to navigate the web, check emails and play with apps easily.

Performance

On the specifications front, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is powered by a Snapdragon 210 processor, Adreno 304 graphics, 2GB RAM coupled with 16GB expandable internal storage. The processor runs at a clock speed of 1.1GHz. The performance will be adequate but not high power for playing games.

Camera

Coolpad Note 5 Lite C bears an 8MP rear f/2.4 aperture camera with support for autofocus and flash. On the front, the device integrates a 5MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. We don’t have a unit to verify the quality of the camera but it can snap average quality pictures based on the specifications.

Operating platform

The main highlight of the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is the addition of Android 7.1 Nougat based on Cool UI. Moreover, the phone is available only via offline mode. Hence, it is possible to test the phone before purchase.

Battery

The Note 5 Lite C manufactured by Coolpad is powered by a 2500mAh battery, which is capable of delivering a standby time of 240 hours.

Connectivity

In addition to 4G LTE, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C also provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth including a wide range of sensors such as accelerometer, light, and proximity. With a weight of 140 grams, the phone measures 7.95mm thickness. The device accommodates dual-SIM.

Price

The Note 5 Lite C is a trimmed variant of the Note 5 Lite launched early 2017. The Lite C will be available at Rs. 7777 from over 3000+ retail stores across the country from August 5. You can also bargain with the shop owner for discounts and purchase the phone at discounted price.
